Due to poor water/oil results and poor recovery of oil there was a definite need to upgrade the effluent plant.

The Problem 
Spoornet where using rope skimmers which are very ineffective. They also take up man-power to try make system effective.

The Solution 
Procon Environmental Technologies provided minor civil changes and installed Ultraspin technology to efficiently remove oil and treat water.

The Results 
Spoornet now meet the sewer discharge standards and have a high oil recovery record. By replacing rope skimmers they have also managed to lower operator affliction.
